In recent tests, the DuoDrive taxi demonstrated a 56% improvement in fuel economy compared to a standard London Taxi (TX2), and simulations predict that an improvement of 100% is possible with further optimization.

UQM PowerPhase Pro 100 electric drive systems are powering a fleet of hydrogen fuel cell London taxicabs during the 2012 Olympic Games. The UQM PowerPhase Pro 100 electric motor provides power to the rear wheels of the vehicle. This fleet joins another previously announced UQM-powered vehicle at the London 2012 Summer Olympics.
