Electrify America to install 2,800 charging stations at workplaces and multi-unit dwellings across US

Electrify America LLC announced it will install more than 2,800 workplace and residential charging stations by June 2019 in 17 of the biggest metropolitan areas in the United States. The companies have committed to install 35% of all multi-family and workplace sites in California in designated low-income or disadvantaged community areas.

Project to award up to $15.5M in rebates for EV chargers in Sacramento County

The rebates will be available through the Sacramento County Incentive Project to install both commercial-grade Level 2 chargers and high-powered DC fast chargers. California’s goal is to get 5 million EVs on its roads by 2030 to reduce carbon emissions and to support those vehicles by installing 250,000 chargers statewide.

Up to $29M available for public EV chargers in SoCal; SCIP accepting applications

Electrify America opening first California EV fast charging station in Torrance; targeting 9 in California by year-end

The Country Hills Shopping Plaza in Torrance, California will be the site of the first DC fast charging station to open in the state as part of Electrify America’s plan to install approximately 160 charging stations in California by June 2019. Within California, average distance between stations is projected to be 48 miles.
