At the IAA Commercial Vehicles Fair in Hannover (23-30 September 2010), Opel will unveil a research project on a Vivaro e-Concept, an electric van with up to 400 kilometers (249 miles) extended range. The e-Concept is conceived to have 5.0 cubic meter storage capacity able to carry 750 kilograms (1,600 lbs) of load. —Chris Lacey.

According to a press release , the company just made the Ford F-150 Lightning Standard Range better, as the vehicle will now have an EPA-estimated range of 240 miles per charge. Previously, the Ford F-150 Lightning Standard Range had a range of 230 miles per charge.

With its e-Drive, the 500e offers more than 80 miles of estimated range, with city driving range typically greater than 100 miles. Charge time is less than 4 hour charge time with the Level 2 (240 volt) on-board charging module (OBCM). This locks the gearbox in park mode, preventing movement.

Ford has re-opened order banks on the Mustang Mach-E while simultaneously rolling back prices and increasing range. Ford has boosted the range of the Standard Range battery models to a range of 250 miles for the Rear-Wheel-Drive powertrain, according to EPA estimates, while the e-All-Wheel-Drive (eAWD) will have 226 miles.

Yep, Hyundai Australia has kept us in suspense for a number of months — presumably while it was fighting with HQ over just how low the price could go — but we now know the 48.6kWh Kona Electric Standard Range will start at $54,000, which is $500 cheaper than the outgoing model. How practical is the Hyundai Kona Electric ?
