It was intended to be mass-produced, not a simple conversion, and widely available (at least in some markets).

Mitsubishi to produce Minicab-MiEV in Indonesia in 2024; first local production of the vehicle outside Japan

Mitsubishi Motors to supply 96 Outlander PHEVs and i-MiEVs to government of Georgia

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will supply the Government of Georgia with 45 Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid EVs and 51 i-MiEV all-electric vehicles.
