The Tesla Model Y is set to break a 37-year sales record in Denmark, set in 1986 by the Opel Kadett for most cars sold in a calendar year. In 2022, it ranked fourth, only behind Norway, Iceland, and Sweden. The Model Y has 16,833 sales so far this year, according to its data. The number of sales equates to 3,890 units.

For the last 18 months, a fleet of 6 methanol-fueled versions of the Geely Emgrand 7 cars have been in Iceland.
