Volvo Car Corporation begins production of the Volvo C30 Electric for leasing customers in Europe

The Volvo Car Corporation has begun production of the C30 Electric ( earlier post ); initial deliveries to leasing customers, mainly companies, authorities and governmental bodies, will take place immediately after the summer. The car is recharged from a regular household power socket. A full recharge takes about 7 hours.

Volvo to Deliver 10 C30 Electric Vehicles to Göteborg Energi; First Elements of Test Fleet

Volvo Cars and energy company Göteborg Energi signed a letter of intent regarding cooperation in the area of electrical vehicles and recharge infrastructure. Recharging the C30 BEV pack via a household supply (230V, 16A) will take about eight hours. Volvo is targeting a broader release of the vehicle in 2013.
