Next up is installing the auxiliary battery. In the process of attaching cables to the auxiliary battery, I got a click from the key-switch relay on the right and the DC-DC converter turned on (red light). I suspect I hooked up something wrong and will reverse engineer the connections next.

In the process, the DC-DC converter turned on (indicated by red LED) and then slowly decayed to the off state. Here are the negative high-voltage connections. The 10 gauge black wire comes from the charger and the smaller yellow wire drives the voltmeter in the cockpit and drives the DC-DC converter. The moment of truth!

The inverter converts the DC solar into AC power that can power the house or be directed back into the Grid as well as connecting up the Battery packs that uses 48 Volt DC. .

One of the other 914 kit converters questioned why the accessory battery couldn't stay in the original tray, but I decided to remove it anyway and have the accessory battery up in the front trunk near the DC/DC converter. When the driver presses the horn button, it actually connects the ground terminal to the horn.
