A team at Toshiba’s Corporate Research & Development Center in Kawasaki, Japan, has developed a high-density TiNb 2 O 7 (HD-TNO) composite electrode consisting of micro-size spherical TNO secondary particles coated with carbon. By comparison, a comparable LTO/NCM cell showed an energy density of 177 Wh L -1.
