Air Products’ carbon capture project in Port Arthur, Texas captures 90% of the CO 2 via Vacuum Swing Adsorption from 2 steam-methane reformers (SMRs) yielding 1,000,000 tons CO 2 /year. The technology in the demo—the first of its kind operating at such a large scale—has not been accomplished anywhere else in the United States.
