ComEd’s new fleet electrification plan calls for replacing all of its light duty vehicles with electrified vehicles (EVs and PHEVs) by 2030. By 2025, all of the company’s light duty vehicles (LDVs) approaching the end of their life cycle will be replaced with electric vehicles, and all LDVs will be electrified by 2030.

Chicago Transit Authority orders 20 Proterra electric buses for $32M

The Chicago Transit Board awarded a $32-million contract to Proterra for the purchase of 20 new, all-electric buses. The two electric buses currently in operation have saved CTA more than $24,000 annually in fuel costs, and $30,000 annually in maintenance costs, when compared to diesel buses purchased in 2014.
