Chicago Transit Authority orders 20 Proterra electric buses for $32M

The Chicago Transit Board awarded a $32-million contract to Proterra for the purchase of 20 new, all-electric buses. In addition to lower emissions that benefit air quality, electric buses offer savings in fuel costs and maintenance costs. They also provide a quieter ride, producing noise the equivalent to a human conversation.

ComEd to replace all LDVs in fleet with electrified vehicles by 2030

ComEd’s new fleet electrification plan calls for replacing all of its light duty vehicles with electrified vehicles (EVs and PHEVs) by 2030. ComEd will replace end-of-life internal combustion vehicles with plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles, reducing fuel and maintenance costs and creating savings that will be passed on to customers.
