Chevron Confirms first oil production from deepwater Papa-Terra offshore Brazil

Chevron’s Brazilian subsidiary and Petrobras have started crude oil production from Papa-Terra’s floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) offshore Brazil. Papa-Terra has installed capacity to produce 140,000 barrels of heavy crude per day; the project is estimated to recover 380 million barrels of oil.

Shell produces first oil from phase 2 of Parque das Conchas, ultra-deepwater Brazil; deepest seismic monitoring system

In 2009 the first phase of the project began production, when the Abalone and Ostra fields were connected, along with the Argonauta B-West reservoir. Phase 2 connected a fourth reservoir to the vessel, the Argonauta O-North. A 4-D Life of Field Seismic monitoring system was installed as part of Phase 2 subsea development.

Veolia launches largest project to produce bio-methanol from pulp mill waste
