The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed standards to reduce harmful air pollution from oil and gas drilling operations. The VOC reductions in the proposal are expected to help reduce ozone nonattainment problems in many areas where oil and gas production occurs. Details on the hearings will be announced soon.

The only Reatta transmission available was a four-speed automatic. These wheels are a bit scraper-ish, but that's an East Bay style and this car is in a yard just outside Denver. There's an oil pressure gauge under the hood as well. The Reatta's engine was the good old 3.8-liter

While new air-cooled Beetles remained available here through 1979, sales of those relics fell off a cliff while the revolutionary new hatchback became an instant sales hit on our continent. The closest I'd come was a '77 two-door in Denver , but then I hit pay dirt in a Northern California yard last week.
