Magna to engineer and produce new off-road EV for INEOS Automotive in 2026

Magna has been awarded a contract to manufacture an all-new INEOS Automotive electric off-road vehicle, expected to start production in Graz, Austria in 2026. In addition to manufacturing, Magna will also be responsible for the engineering of the complete vehicle.

BMW investing €400M in new vehicle assembly at Munich plant as part of shift to electromobility; engine production being concentrated at Steyr and Hams Hall

The BMW Group is speeding up the shift towards electromobility and strengthening its global network for production of electrified vehicles. The new assembly in Munich will be built on the site currently used for engine production. By the end of 2022, each of our German plants will be producing at least one fully electric vehicle.

Volkswagen presents all-electric ID. XTREME off-road concept car

The fully electric concept car with all-wheel drive system is based on the ID.4 —Silke Bagschik, Head of the MEB Product Line. The roof carrier with additional LED lights and the completely closed aluminum underbody also equip the fully electric all-wheel drive vehicle for excursions away from paved roads.

BMW i4 M50 coming to MotoE World Cup

German carmaker BMW has announced that its much-hyped i4 M50 will be the official safety car for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup to be held in Austria in mid-August. The production version is due to launch in November 2021, with the BMW i4 M50 the first 100% electric offering from BMW M. More details as and when we find out!

SAIC introduces large electric panel van in Europe: Maxus EV80

MAN Truck & Bus exploring 2nd life, recycling strategies for traction batteries

The battery packs originate from the first field trial with battery-electric distribution trucks from MAN, which began in Austria in 2018 and lasted three years. The goal is to use the raw materials recovered by the recycling partners, such as nickel, manganese, cobalt or lithium, in the new production of batteries.
