EIA: US, Qatar and Russia provided almost 70% of liquefied natural gas received in Europe in 2021

In 2021, a large share of Europe’s supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) originated in the United States, Qatar, and Russia. In January 2022, the United States supplied more than half of all LNG imports into Europe for the month. Supply challenges in the European market have led to rising regional prices for natural gas.

Mercedes-Benz eActros electric trucks moving to Rotterdam and The Hague

After about a year of intensive practical use by ten customers in Germany and Switzerland, eight of the purely battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks are now successively going to new customers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Dutch-Belgian truck company orders five Proton HyRange hydrogen fuel-cell systems for refuse trucks; EU project REVIVE

The five hydrogen fuel cell systems will be used to outfit electric refuse trucks as part of the EU project REVIVE (Refuse Vehicle Innovation and Validation in Europe). The tender, which runs from 2018 to 2021, aims to build and put into operation 15 electric vehicles for the collection of waste in Europe.

EC approves up to €5.2B of public support for second IPCEI in the hydrogen value chain

The project, called “IPCEI Hy2Use” was jointly prepared and notified by thirteen Member States: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. Norway, as part of the European Economic Area, also participates to the IPCEI Hy2Use with two individual projects.
