The state’s latest Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory shows that California emitted 429 million metric tons of climate pollutants in 2016—a drop of 12 million metric tons, or three percent, from 2015. billion gallons in all—as a result of the state’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard.

From 2010-2015, there was a lot of action in the hatchback space. And we have already talked about the need for multiple technologies, and this will require getting into other forms of alternate fuels. Those are absolutely renewable, absolutely clean, and carbon-negative fuels.

The plan as outlined also calls for further work on advanced biofuels, advanced batteries and fuel cell technologies in every transportation mode.
