A study by a team of researchers from France and the US found that the origin of volatile hydrocarbons, other than methane, present in city air is mainly gasoline-powered vehicles. The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan ( earlier post ) made its North American debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show as Honda announced additional details for the vehicle’s entry into the US market. The Clarity Fuel Cell will be available in black, white and signature red exterior paint schemes.

Audi of America is introducing four new TDI clean diesel models for the US market at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Each TDI vehicle delivers up to 30% better fuel economy and 30% lower carbon dioxide emissions than gasoline engines. The A8 TDI will be available in Spring 2013; the A7, A6 and Q5 TDIs in the Fall.

The Harris Ranch Superchargers sit off the I-5, the interstate highway connecting Los Angeles (and San Diego) with the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento in the north. Initially, battery swap will be available by appointment and, according to Tesla, “will cost slightly less than a full tank of gasoline for a premium sedan”.
