The US Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Excellence Awards have recognized 43 truck carriers and one barge carrier as industry leaders in supply chain environmental and energy efficiency. EPA announced the awardees at the 2016 American Trucking Association’s Annual Management Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fulcrum completed the construction of the first commercial-scale MSW-based biofuels refinery in Nevada in July 2021. Starting in 2022, Fulcrum’s Nevada plant is set to begin producing approximately 11 million gallons of syncrude annually, which will then be upgraded to transportation fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel.
