APWorks, a 100% subsidiary of Airbus Group, has unveiled the first 3D-printed motorcycle. Dubbed the Light Rider, the motorcycle is made using APWorks’ Scalmalloy material, and weighs only 35 kg (77 lbs). The result is a motorcycle that looks more like an organic exoskeleton than a machine.

The new electric Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycle—originally unveiled in Milwaukee during the company’s 115 th Anniversary this past Labor Day weekend—made its European debut at the Milan press conference of the EICMA show. Harley-Davidson expects to deliver a full portfolio of electric motorcycles by 2022.

has announced pricing and production plans for the Empulse and Empulse R electric motorcycles and previewed the new design. As a result, these motorcycles now come with a water-cooled AC motor and fully integrated IET six-speed transmission, seating for two, regenerative braking and on board 3 kW, J1772 Level 2 charging capability.

Honda’s latest addition to its PCX series of scooters is the PCX HYBRID, the world’s first mass-produced motorized scooter (125cc or less) equipped with a motorcycle hybrid system. All-LED lights and continuously flowing curves from the front to rear make the PCX’s styling elegant and relaxed. Sales begin in Japan in September.

Foton Motor and Piaggio Group signed the agreement for a joint development project for new light-duty commercial vehicle products in Italy. Since 2016, Foton Motor and Piaggio Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Framework Agreement in succession. In 2017, its global sales volume of commercial vehicles hit 176,800 units.
