Drivesolar.org has compiled a list of the 42 different plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle models on display at the Frankfurt International Motor Show as well as their location on the exhibit floor as a convenience for visitors. Of the 42 vehicles, 11 (26%) are plug-in hybrids, the remainder are EVs. A hat-tip to Siggy!).
Fisker Automotive will debut the first factory-built Karma plug-in hybrid (PHEV) at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Fisker Automotive introduced the Karma as a concept in January 2008. The 300 kW (403 hp/408 PS) Karma reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 100 km (100 mpg) and emissions of 83 g/km, according to the company.
The Fisker Karma plug-in extended range electric vehicle ( earlier post ) made its public driving debut over the weekend, 19 months after being introduced as a concept. The Fisker Karma can reach 60 mph (97 km/h) in six seconds and has a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). Carbon emissions are also lower than today’s hybrids.
The Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) ( earlier post ) will make its public driving debut during the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races on 15 August, 19 months after being unveiled as a concept car. Fast forward over a decade since it launched, swap the model name for the make, and Karma’s latest iteration, the GS-6, is one of the best implementations of a plug-in hybrid we’ve seen. A123 Systems has entered a battery supply agreement with Fisker Automotive to supply battery systems for the Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The Karma—an extended-range electric vehicle—is scheduled to be launched in late 2010. A123’s technology will ensure the Karma delivers.
