Israeli startup EVR Motors has partnered with India’s EKA Mobility, an electric vehicles and technology company, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Limited, to design small, lightweight electric motors for their e-buses and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) in India. EVR will support the setup of EKA’s assembly line.

Hyundai Motor Group signed an MOU with the Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (SL Corp) to demonstrate new technologies for large-scale hydrogen production using biogas over the next two years. This is enough to charge more than 34 units of NEXO, Hyundai Motor’s hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle.

ZF has developed an electric motor which does not require magnets. In contrast to the magnet-free concepts of separately excited synchronous motors (SESM) already available today, ZF’s I 2 SM (In-Rotor Inductive-Excited Synchronous Motor) transmits the energy for the magnetic field via an inductive exciter inside the rotor shaft.

China-based Dongfeng Motor (DFM) has launched two new passenger cars powered by ProteanDrive Pd18 in-wheel motors. Unveiled at the event was the E70, the world’s first fully homologated passenger car equipped with ProteanDrive, alongside the Voyah Zhuiguang, a luxury sedan built on a new vehicle platform using in-wheel-motors.
