Zipcar Launches Car Sharing Club with Hybrids, PHEV and EV in London

Toyota lays plans for plug-in vehicle trial

The companies have been testing plug-in hybrid vehicles since September 2008 in London and now will embrace the opportunity to test the vehicles under demanding real-life situations. Mayor of London Boris Johnson also sees Toyota as playing a key role in the trials. Toyota hopes to employ 500 plug-in vehicles globally by 2010.
