General Motors is gearing up for the release of several new EVs over the next few years, starting with the Chevrolet Equinox EV this fall. Chevy has promised a reasonable starting price for the Mexico-built EV, which will arrive in the States riding on GM’s Ultium platform.

Nissan is about to drink GM’s milkshake with a breakthrough, affordable, next generation electric car that will be beat the Chevy Volt to market, cost half as much and work twice as well. Both have been more than reluctant to go EV and both have said that the technology just isn’t ready yet. Plus it looks ten times cooler.
