In late April 2015, Geely Auto deployed a first-of-its-kind fleet of 150 methanol-fueled taxis in the southern Chinese city of Guiyang in cooperation with the municipal government. Vulcanol is CRI’s brand name for renewable methanol, produced from CO 2 and hydrogen from renewable sources of electricity (hydro, geothermal, wind and solar).

The other day, I was working on the design of connecting rod for a gasoline engine, and to be honest, it is a tough job. When current travels through the coils of wire in the base unit, they operate as main winding and generate a magnetic field. Charging your car on the go wirelessly…How cool is that !! Electric fuel cost is a fraction of gasoline or diesel fossil fuel cost, even at a time when petroleum prices are temporarily reduced due to geopolitical manipulations and manufacturing costs. At present PHEVLERs, PHEVs and conventional gasoline engine vehicles in the USA all use a liquid fuel blend comprising 90% gasoline and 10% biofuel.

Researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have found that the per-mile greenhouse gas emissions of an electric autonomous taxi in 2030 would be 63-82% lower than a projected 2030 hybrid vehicle driven as a privately owned car and 90% lower than a 2014 gasoline-powered private vehicle.
