He's a bit surprised, as are all of us, that Nissan has emerged as the first big automaker to manufacture a mass-produced electric car. The 100 mile range cited by Nissan uses "a number tied to the most optimistic benchmark, the LA4 cycle." The LEAF pack has fewer kWh than my RAV4 EV, but could be almost as heavy. Buyer beware!
