The University of Minnesota, Morris, in partnership with Cummins Power Generation and the University of Minnesota Center for Diesel Research, has developed a transportable diesel engine generator (genset) that can be powered by biomass, called the PowerTrainer. The genset, when run on diesel, can generate up to 100 kW of electricity.

California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted five new and one revised Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) fuel pathway applications to the LCFS public comment website. The new pathways include two renewable diesel pathways; two biodiesel pathways, and one corn ethanol pathway. The revised package is for corn oil biodiesel.
