At the end of June, the US signed the Statute of the International Renewable Energy Agency ( IRENA ), thereby increasing the number of countries participating in the organization to 136. The US signing was the result of careful consideration by the Obama Administration and members of Congress following the launching of IRENA in January.

Ground level ozone is a highly reactive gas commonly found in urban and suburban environments, formed when pollutants react in sunlight. To try to address this, an international research team analyzed deaths and environmental measures (weather and air pollutants) in 406 cities in 20 countries, with overlapping periods between 1985 and 2015.
