In order to be able to offer blended Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel directly to airlines at Singapore Changi Airport, Neste has agreed to acquire a stake and become a minority shareholder in Changi Airport Fuel Hydrant Installation Company Pte Ltd (CAFHI), the fuel storage and infrastructure joint venture in the airport.

The project is being carried out by the Swedish chemical group Perstorp in cooperation with partners Uniper (Germany) and Fortum (Finland), and the aim is to reduce carbon emissions by up to half million tons annually. If completed, Project AIR will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 500,000 tons annually.

The EU Innovation Fund will award a grant of €88 million to Neste’s green hydrogen and CO 2 capture & storage project, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the Porvoo refinery in Finland. Mt CO 2 eq emissions over the first ten years of operation. The project is currently in the feasibility phase.
