I drove the electric 914 back out to Camp914 where I originally purchased the car and drove it away as a gasoline vehicle. I've mentioned before that I'm working on an open-source EV kit. Yesterday was fun. Craig was happy to see me and took several pictures. Overall, the car handled the freeway and hills well.

However, if I start from a stoplight in the same way as a gasoline vehicle (rev the engine and slowly let out the clutch), I can start much more quickly than if I just leave the clutch out and floor the accelerator from a stopped motor. Note: the kit instructions mention that the bolts that tie the motor mount in the kit to the front Porsche motor mount are 3 1/2 inches long; however, I think this is a typo because I had to go back and purchase 2 1/2 inch bolts because the 3 1/2 ones were almost exactly one inch too long.
