The section held a first-of-its-kind workshop in January at the University of Technology in Kingston. Through the power of storytelling and the strength of IEEE’s mission, the One IEEE event connected participants to each other and to IEEE by showcasing the vibrant engineering community in Jamaica. Ford launched a $50,000 challenge for software developers to write innovative apps to help consumers better understand and improve their personal fuel efficiency. Participants will have access to Ford’s OpenXC connectivity research platform as a sandbox to create and test their ideas for the Personalized Fuel Efficiency Apps Challenge.

The 2022 IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference is scheduled for 6 and 7 June in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual networking events. The in-person events are to take place at the San Diego Convention Center. Virtual attendees will be able to access livestreams and remote events online.

That was the first time he had met a person with a limb difference. The competition provides mentoring to teams, as well as workshops on topics such as pitching skills and customer development. The Ability Hand is connected by Bluetooth to a smartphone app, which provides users another way to configure and control the hand's movements.
