BYD has exclusively won cumulative orders to supply 1,002 battery-electric buses to the capital of Colombia, Bogotá. This is the largest order for pure-electric buses outside of China to date, which sets a new record in sales volume for the overseas pure-electric bus industry. Eaton Corporation has signed a long-term agreement to design and supply Argentine bus manufacturer Tecnología Avanzada en Transporte S. TATSA), a company wholly owned by Consorcio Metropolitano de Transporte S.A., with a hybrid electric power system for use in buses in Argentina and throughout South America.
