Plug Power plans to build a green hydrogen production plant in Camden County, Georgia, to serve customers across the southeastern United States. Plug Power has signed a Purchase Power Agreement with Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership Corporation to source the renewable electricity needed to power the plant.

The ATN fleet order will increase the number of BYD electric buses the agency can deploy to serve one of the nation’s busiest tourism and employment regions. These new buses will provide ATN a 57 percent zero-emission fleet by 2020. The Anaheim Transportation Network has awarded an order for 40 battery-electric buses to BYD.

Daimler Buses North America (DBNA) has received orders for 96 Orion VII clean-diesel and diesel-hybrid buses. In addition, the University of Georgia is purchasing four more Orion VII buses for its Campus Transit System, so that it will have a total of eight Orion VII clean-diesel buses in operation.

The updated trucks, which were originally purchased in September 2015, deliver up to four times the fuel economy of a gasoline-powered vehicle, UPS said. The trucks will be deployed in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio and Texas later this year. The smaller engine will improve fuel economy, however.
