I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. Of course, EVs that arent designed for battery swaps wont use it, and plug-in hybrids wont need it. The other proposal that makes some sense is adding on-the-fly charging to carpool/hybrid lanes on highways that many states already have. Battery swapping wouldnt make economic sense without a considerable degree of standardization.
