Thinking of buying a hybrid? That's great--you'll not only reduce your gas bills, but you'll be polluting less too, and likely have a car that holds its value as gas prices rise. If you're coming from a non-hybrid though, it may take a little time to make the most of your new Prius, Civic Hybrid or similar.

Car buyers shouldn’t be forced to buy high-end bells and whistles when fuel economy and reducing emissions are their top priority. By contrast, the 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid has a very high hybrid value. The Prius scored a 9.8 Hybrids don’t have to be luxury vehicles. They should be within the reach of all Americans.

Multiple recent studies have shown that in the real world, plug-in hybrids pollute much more than their labels would indicate – though still less than pure-fossil vehicles – both because they overstate their capabilities in electric-only mode and because people simply don’t plug them in. The problem is… that doesn’t happen.

According to the university’s parking operations manager Doug Porter, an employee who owns two vehicles, such as a Prius and a Hummer, can buy the permit with the Prius registration, get the discount and then move the permit from one car to the other.

No one needs to buy another new gas powered car. Keep your old car, or buy an inexpensive used car. The Plug-Ins are coming and you should wait till they get here before buying your next new car. Otherwise you’ll just be buying a dinosaur that you’ll have to pay to convert or dispose of. Save your money.
