BMW is losing its touchscreen for some models like the X5, X6, and X7; GM is losing heated seats for popular pickups like the Silverado and GMC Sierra; and Mercedes-Benz is eliminating features such as wireless charging, hands-free rear access systems, LED headlights, and some audio systems.

GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. For our discussion, Saturn dealers were the delivery and service point for GM’s aborted first electric car, the EV1. Perhaps the first electric sub-brand was BMW’s i series, which included the i3 hatchback and i8 plug-in hybrid sports coupe.
