GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. Harley-Davidson, the legendary and revered American manufacturer of motorcycles, announced that it is establishing LiveWire as a separate electric motorcycle brand on July 8,2021, just in time for the first of nine outdoor International Motorcycle Shows. The plug-in Prius is a separate model from the all new 2010 Prius Hybrid. The plug-in version will only be available for fleet service and will not be sold at retail to the general public. BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen have all not shipped certain electric models to the US and Toyota is shipping the majority of their RAV4 Prime PHEVs to Europe and Asia. Key questions, however, is are these goals of banning/ending production of ICE vehicles by 2030, 2035, or even 2040 actually realistic and what would it take to reach them?
