The EPA rates fuel economy at 31 mpg city/28 highway/30 combined. In 380 miles of mixed driving through Southern California, Clean Fleet Report achieved an average of 31.2 The RX 450h tips the scales at 4,740 pounds, so topping the EPA estimate in a freeway-oriented driving environment is an achievement.

The EPA rates the fuel economy at 19 city/24 highway/21 combined. In 297 miles of mostly freeway driving through Southern California we averaged 22.1 mpg, but did a bit better on a 207-mile freeway run with the smart cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 25.1 Powertrain – 10 years/100,000 miles.
