BMW eDrive Zones trigger an automatic shift to all-electric operating mode as soon as the vehicle enters a designated area, such as a low emission zone. Every electrically driven kilometer counts, and within an eDrive Zone, twice as many points can be collected. Switching to the purely electric driving mode is automatic.

Volvo Cars opens order books for new electric C40 Recharge

The all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge is available online via volvocars.com in select markets across Europe as of this week. The propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes.

AKASOL to showcase high-performance battery systems for e-buses at Busworld Europe; expanding production

Volvo’s Polestar 1 PHEV makes European debut; pre-orders open 13 March

Polestar, Volvo Cars’ new electric performance brand, introduced the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. Two electric motors drive the rear wheels.
