The aim is a 30% reduction in NO x emissions from these vehicles by the end of 2018. With respect to the emissions updates, the OEMs must also provide proof that the changes do not negatively impact any other parameters relevant for type approval—such as pollutant and CO 2 emissions, fuel consumption, noise and engine power.
