Climate & Renewables North America, LLC (E.ON) signed an agreement with Tucson Electric Power (TEP) to provide frequency response and voltage control from a grid-scale, 10 megawatt (MW) battery energy storage facility with a 2 MW solar array. The project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017.

According to figures gathered by the US Department of Energy (DOE), cumulative US sales of fuel cell vehicles from June 2014 through September 2017 are 2,748 units, spread across three available models. Of the three publicly available fuel cell models, the Toyota Mirai has sold 2,158 units.

The clock is ticking, but we may still see a third hydrogen fuel-cell car go on sale in certain regions of California—alongside the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell and Toyota Mirai—before the end of the year. The 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell will be available through certain California dealerships before the year is out, its maker says.

Well after Hyundai and Toyota launched their own fuel-cell cars in California, the first 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedans to be leased to retail customers were delivered yesterday in a small ceremony. Like the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell and Toyota Mirai, the Clarity Fuel Cell is available only.

Running from 1 September 2017, Hyundai’s scheme targets older and more polluting vehicles with Euro 1-4 emissions standard, cars which were registered before 31 December 2009. The offer is only available for retail customers and the discounts on new Hyundais is in lieu of any other offer. The scheme will run until the end of 2017.
