Toyota anticipates that the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid—unveiled earlier this year at the New York International Auto Show ( earlier post ) and the eighth hybrid in Toyota’s line-up—will receive EPA ratings of 34 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / 33 mpg combined (6.9, l/100 km, respectively) for both 2016 RAV4 Hybrid models.

EN 15940 was approved by CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, in April 2016. No additional engine maintenance is required when using paraffinic fuels meeting the EN 15940 specification, and the same fuel filters are retained.

The 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with ventilated discs were part of the regenerative charging system, an energy recovery process taking the usually wasted friction and heat from braking or coasting, and converting kinetic energy into stored energy.
