Singapore Airlines & CAAS partner on “Green Package” flights; biofuels, optimized operations and fuel-efficient A350-950

Singapore Airlines (SIA), in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore ( CAAS ), has started operating a series of 12 “green package” flights over a three-month period on its non-stop San Francisco-Singapore route. In May 2011, CAAS and SIA launched regular ASPIRE flights on the Los Angeles-Singapore route.

TÜV SÜD and ESPEC partnering for EV battery testing in Japan

The new Japan lab will become the seventh in TÜV SÜD’s international network of battery labs. Testing will range from cells to modules to packs, following international specifications and standards. The revised UN-ECE R100 standard entered into force in July and is internationally mandatory as of July 2016.

ICCT life-cycle analysis finds no climate benefit in using LNG as marine fuel

Survey finds LNG-fueled ship orders up 26% in six months
