UNIST’s U-Loop displayed at International Public Transport Forum

A prototype of this new transport capsule was displayed and tested at the 7 th International Public Transportation Forum. UNIST announced it was developing U-Loop at the 1 st International Symposium on Hyperloop, held at UNIST in July, 2016. Powered by magnetic attraction, the U-Loop capsule would move at nearly 1,000 km/h.

Toyota and Daihatsu plan internal company for emerging-market compact vehicles; new DGNA vehicle architecture

Toyota Motor Corporation and its fully owned subsidiary Daihatsu Motor plan to establish an internal company that will be responsible for compact vehicles for emerging markets, from product planning to production preparation. IEA: Electric vehicles posted strong gains in 2016; 2M now in global parc

International Trucks offers over-the-air programming for Cummins engines

Building on its introduction of over-the-air (OTA) programming for its proprietary engines, International Trucks is now the first truck OEM to offer OTA programming for Cummins engines. The service will first be available for limited production release of Cummins 2017 model year engines, beginning in fall 2016.
