The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon ( earlier post ) will offer segment-leading highway fuel efficiency for four-cylinder mid-size pickup trucks, according to EPA fuel economy estimates. The Memorandum of Understanding commits both governments to work together on developing their respective regulations to cut greenhouse gas emissions from light-duty vehicles, such as those currently in effect in Canada, California and the 13 US states that have adopted California’s standards.

To complement its work on real-world emissions in Europe, TRUE has compiled remote sensing data from the states of Colorado and Virginia and the University of Denver to investigate the emissions of US light-duty vehicles. Remote sensing campaigns continue to find that real-world emissions can be much higher than emission standards.
