(JCI) has filed a petition with the Delaware Court of Chancery to dissolve Johnson Controls-Saft Advanced Power Solutions LLC (JCS), the automotive Li-ion battery joint venture between Johnson Controls and Saft. The joint venture was formed in 2006 to develop and manufacture lithium-ion automotive battery solutions.

The focus was in particular on electrical machinery, power electronics and various technologies for traction batteries. The largest share of PHEVs were found between a vehicle curb weight of 1500 kg (3,300 lbs) and 2000 kg (4400 lbs).
