The Code notes that shutting down an engine during taxi-in operations can deliver reductions of 20 to 40% of the ground level fuel burn and CO 2 emissions, and 10 to 30% of ground emitted oxides of nitrogen (NO x ) emissions, depending on aircraft type and operator technique. Electrify America announced its next $200-million investment in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure as well as education and awareness in California which is outlined in its Cycle 2 California ZEV Investment Plan submitted to the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Cycle 2 is a 30-month investment period, which begins in July 2019.
