The FCA Melfi, Italy plant is beginning preparations to produce the Jeep Renegade Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) scheduled for market launch in early 2020. The Renegade PHEV will be produced alongside the Renegade and 500X full combustion engine products that are currently produced at the Melfi vehicle assembly plant.

Sales of the EV models with automaker reported sales were up 11.6% in Q3 versus Q2 2022, according to new analysis from EVAdoption’s EV Sales Scoreboard. Average US sales of the 32 EV models for which OEMs reported sales and that were available in the period July-September, were up an average 10.5%.

Volvo’s all-electric model lead the growth, with global EV sales up 17% in January. Toyota Motor Corporation announced that the cumulative figures for global sales of its hybrid vehicles reached 9.014 million units as of 30 April. The Prius family still accounts for the majority of sales: 5.691 million units, or 63% of the total global cumulative number. million units, and cumulative sales of 15 million units by 2020.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) Chrysler Brand will launch two plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) over the next several years, said Al Gardner, President and CEO of the Chrysler Brand, during the FCA Investor Day presentations at Auburn Hills, Mi. FCA will launch a PHEV minivan in 2016 to comply with ZEV requirements.
