Renault Group attributed this to the recent rejuvenation of its ranges, notably including five models that return less than 100g of CO 2 /km (Twingo, New Clio, Captur, Mégane and Dacia Sandero). Overall, the New Renault Clio range emits 18.5 g of CO 2 /km less than the model’s previous generation. km to 114.7g/km km (-8.6%).

Peugeot has some 36 vehicles across its 107, 207 and 308 ranges with CO 2 emissions less than 121 g/km, and 48 (within its Blue Lion standards) with CO 2 emissions less than 131 g/km. A 540-litre LNG tank fitted on the left-hand side can hold at least 195 kilograms of liquid bio-LNG, enabling a range of up to 800 kilometers. The remaining 55 trucks ordered are IVECO S-Way LNG tractor units (55 AS440S46TP 1LNG).

Projects to be funded include: Ultra Lightweight Gas Turbine Range Extender for Electric Vehicles. The aim of this project is to develop an ultra-lightweight, gas turbine powered, electric vehicle range extender that will enable vehicle weight savings of 100 kg or more and a modest reduction in CO 2 emissions on the UNECE101 drive cycle.
