Groupe Renault launching large-scale V2G trials with fleet of 15 Zoe EVs

Groupe Renault is beginning the first large-scale pilot schemes in alternating-current, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging in electric vehicles. Following these, more pilot schemes will be introduced in France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark. The pilot schemes will begin in the Netherlands and Portugal.

ETES uses surplus renewable-electricity to generate heat and cold for storage in insulated reservoirs during a so-called charging cycle.

Honda to supply 50 Honda e EVs, 35 Power Managers to V2X Suisse for large-scale V2G trial

Honda will supply 50 Honda e electric vehicles ( earlier post ) to Switzerland’s car-sharing operator, Mobility. The Honda e units will be used as part of a car-sharing fleet in a trial which uses the Honda e’s bi-directional charging function to feed energy back to the grid when the vehicles are not in use for sharing.
