Elio Motors, the startup vehicle manufacturer launching a three-wheeled vehicle that will get up to 84 MPG with a targeted base price of $6,800 ( earlier post ), has released to its suppliers the body framing and engine cradle design for its E-Series engineering prototypes.

The three-wheeled hydrogen-powered fleet transports visitors at the Pragati Maidan, where many large public exhibitions are held. Air Products India installed, and in January 2012 commissioned, a hydrogen fueling dispenser in Pragati Maiden, Delhi to serve a fleet of hydrogen-powered auto rickshaws.

The project, being financially and technically supported by The International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET) of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will be conducted over two years beginning in July 2010 and include development of a fleet of 15 three-wheeled vehicles.
